Charlotte County Public Schools is dedicated to its mission “to cultivate ‘21st century-ready’ students, faculty, and staff with a passion for life-long learning.” During the 2009-10 school year, we are extending the focus to: “Closing the Global Achievement Gap—one student at a time”. Instructional planning using data from SOL and benchmark tests, staff development in the best instructional strategies and resources, and infusion of technology into daily instruction are ongoing in order to provide optimum learning opportunities for all students.
For the second year, the division continues its CASHE (Connecting All Students to Higher Education) initiative with a goal of 100% of Randolph-Henry High School graduates participating in postsecondary educational option. This program provides resources and activities in all grades (PreK-12) and maintains a CASHE Student Record Card for each student to assist with ongoing career and instructional planning at all grade levels.
All Charlotte County employees strive to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment necessary for effective instruction and student success. Thanks to the cooperative and dedicated effort of our School Board, teachers and employees, parents, business and community leaders, Board of Supervisors, and, most of all, our students, our division continues its success with full accreditation and achieving Adequate Yearly Progress.
