Data Coach - Secondary

Qualifications:

General Responsibilities
The Secondary Data Coach will provide leadership in the alignment of secondary curriculum, as well as, data analysis. The coach will have a working knowledge of curriculum development and analysis, instructional technology, effective instructional practices and data analysis. The coach will also provide reviews and reports for the purposes of instructional planning. The coach will provide supervisory oversight of data meetings which will take place for secondary schools within the division.

Duties
1. Assist with new secondary teacher mentoring/orientation
2. Assist with transition to PowerSchool “Performance Matters” assessments
3. Conduct observations for new secondary teachers and work with principals to provide supports for these teachers
4. Implement Computer Science standards for K-12 in CCPS
5. Oversight of instructional technology program
6. Coordinate the development and implementation of secondary benchmark assessments
7. Coordinate the process of data analysis for secondary students
8. Work with principals and teachers to disaggregate student data
9. Conduct data meetings with teachers and administrators
10. Serve as webmaster for CCPS
11. Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university with a renewable Virginia teaching licensure. Preference will be given to individuals with 5 or more years of teaching experience.

This opening is at Randolph-Henry High School for the 2019-20 school year.  Candidate must possess, or be eligible for a 5-year renewable, Virginia Teacher’s License with proper grade/subject level endorsement(s). Candidate must be child-centered and able to plan and implement an instructional program that meets the criteria established by the Virginia Standards of Learning.  Experience with, and desire to utilize computer technology and resources is a must.
