Group of students attending the Truth Empowerment SummitDuring the second week of July, Randolph-Henry and Central Middle School students attended the Truth Empowerment Summit. Along with participants from four other school divisions, students participated in an engaging program in which they learned valuable skills to implement into their own schools. The material mastered by the groups will be used to bring about a culture shift in their schools. The participants were challenged to rise up and unify to spread compassion and kindness to drown out negativity and bullying. On the final day of the summit, the students created an Action Plan for a semester of the upcoming school year. The Action Plan outlines the vision of the students for making a positive impact on their school. The students presented their action plans to superintendents and administrators at the closing ceremony. The summit brought unprecedented unity amongst the 100 students within the five school divisions.
