Microsoft Homework Network

Charlotte County Public School students are eligible to receive free educational internet access at home through the Microsoft Homework Network, a partnership between Microsoft and Mid-Atlantic Broadband (MBC), located in South Boston, VA. With this network, students can access the same sites they can access at school, connecting students to online educational resources in the comfort of their homes.  The network uses TV white space (TVWS) technology to provide home internet service.

To sign up and to find out if your home is in reach of the network, please visit www.tvwsvirginia.com or call (434) 570-1315.

This project is fully funded by Microsoft, MBC, and the Virginia Tobacco Commission, so there is no charge to the family for the equipment, equipment installation, or internet service.  Other partners of the project include B2X Online (wireless internet service provider in charge of installation and technical support for this project), Adaptrum (TVWS equipment manufacturer), and Charlotte County Public Schools.
