Notice of Vacancy

 

The Charlotte County School Board is now accepting applications for the following part-time position:  School Bus Drivers and Car Drivers  

Preference will be given to applicants with appropriate licensure.  Bus driver applications can be obtained at the School Bus Transportation Office located behind the Randolph-Henry High School Athletic Field at 225 Evergreen Road in Charlotte Court House, Virginia.  Phone: (434) 542-5659 

A class is planned to provide required training for approved candidates to obtain Class B Commercial Driver’s License with P and S endorsements.  A refresher class for previously licensed, approved candidates will be held as needed.

The driver position will be a permanent, daily route for the purpose of transporting students to and from school. There are opportunities to earn additional money through field trips and athletic competition routes.

Any individual employed by a public school division in Virginia will have their criminal history record (from the files of the Federal Bureau of Investigation) reviewed through the submission of fingerprints (Code of Virginia, §22.1-296-2).

Permanent Bus Route Salary:       $14,381.00-$16,084.00/ Per Year
Anticipated Starting Date:             January 2022

According to the Code of Virginia, §22.1-296-2, any person employed after July 1, 2000 by a public school division will have their criminal history record information, from the files of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, reviewed through the submission of fingerprints.
