On May 12th, the Charlotte County School Board recognized two retirees: Mrs. Mary Jo Cooper (Eureka Elementary School) and Christopher Anderson (Randolph-Henry High School).
Service Awards recognition was given to employees for 30-45 years: Linda Griles, Christopher Anderson, Rodney Hudson, and May Bell Holcomb.
The board also recognized the following students:
Granville Meade Scholarship: Toni Jones,
Indoor Track & Field: Nevaeh Staten and Ahmad Jones,
Wrestling: Patrick Collins and Noah Norwood,
Speech: Ashley Perez (Poetry) and Parker Perez (Extemporaneous Speaking)
The FFA Agricultural Issues Team presented before the board.
The school nurses, Melanie Scruggs, Nikki Elder, Wendy Tucker, and Missy Bennett, were recognized by Dr. John Phillips for their participation in Project ADAM Designation. All CCPS schools have AEDs, trained staff, and a prepeared to save lives on campus.
